Twenty-eight apartments in Matikata, a few minutes from our own head office and inside the quiet grid of Dhaka Cantonment. Fourteen floors, two apartments per landing, each with a corner living room and a service balcony kept out of sight of the main elevation.
Booking is open. Early buyers choose their floor and facing first, and the tile, sanitary and kitchen selections are still open to change at this stage.
Cantonment plots carry stricter height and setback conditions than the rest of Dhaka, which usually costs a floor and squeezes the plan.
We took the approval route before the design route — the massing was developed against the Cantonment Board conditions from the first sketch rather than adjusted after a refusal.
Full fourteen floors approved with the setbacks intact, and no compromise on apartment sizes.
